Management Team

Wynyard’s management team is drawn from leading technology companies and sector specialist bringing together skills as diverse as research and development, software engineering, finance management and commercialisation, along with deep industry and subject matter expertise.

  • Craig Richardson

    Chief Executive Officer

    Craig Richardson is Wynyard Group’s CEO. Richardson joined Jade Software Corporation as CEO in 2009 and led the strategy development and spin-out of what became Wynyard Group in 2012. He was previously the Chief Financial Officer of Coca-Cola Amatil’s (ASX:CCL) pacific operations and Vice President Finance for BlueScope Steel (ASX:BSL) for the region. Craig has also held senior executive roles in finance, strategy and planning with Vodafone in Sweden and Australia.

    Craig is a certified practising accountant and fellow of CPA Australia. He was previously an independent member of the New Zealand Defence Force governance board and a board member of New Zealand Crown entity Callaghan Innovation. Craig is also an advisor to crowdfunding platform Snowball Effect and crime prevention start-up Auror.


  • Phil Eustace

    Interim Chief Financial Officer

    Phil oversees the company’s investor relations, company secretary, finance, risk management, IT and security functions.

    Phil has a strong commercial and corporate governance background and an extensive history of driving earnings growth and initiatives that deliver positive enterprise value.   Phil brings extensive senior level public listed company experience including Board reporting, investor relations, market reporting, corporate finance and risk and compliance management

    He was previously the chief operating officer of NZME and was New Zealand finance director of APN News & Media.  He is the current Chair of the Newspaper Publishers Association and was a director of the APN News & Media group of New Zealand operating companies.


  • Chris Stauber

    Senior Vice President Product

    Chris is responsible for leading Wynyard’s product vision and strategy across research, engineering, product management and product marketing.  Chris has over 30 years of experience in building product strategy, specifications, engineering and development of enterprise software applications for multi-national companies, consulting firms, and small business. Chris has created scalable, profitable solutions that leverage advanced technologies, methodologies, and high-performance teams.  

    Prior to joining Wynyard, Chris led the Products organization for BMC Software’s Cloud and Data Center Automation business unit. Characterized as one of BMC’s highest growth potential businesses, Chris led the repositioning of the portfolio as modern, market-leading solution helping customers battle cyber threats with automated patch management, network, and server automation. Previously, Chris spear-headed GT Nexus’ transition to modern SaaS development processes, accelerating product release while significantly improving product quality and the user’s experience.


  • Sara Mottus

    Director of Human Resources

    Sara is responsible for driving Wynyard’s global HR and culture strategy, including talent acquisition, employee engagement and professional development initiatives. Prior to joining Wynyard in 2013 Sara held consultative and advisory HR roles in the higher education sector with the University of Canterbury as well as within the information technology sector with Jade Software Corporation in New Zealand. Most recently Sara has been in the construction and property development industry in Sweden. Sara has a strong background in recruitment and selection and has during recent years specialised in organisation and competence development linking HR activities to business strategy and performance.


  • Derek Brown

    VP Americas

    Derek Brown is Wynyard’s Vice President Americas responsible for driving the growth and success of Wynyard in the U.S., Canada, Central and South America. Derek has a proven track record of partnering with companies to protect their most valuable business assets through the intelligent use of technology.

    In his most recent role as Chief Operations Officer for BAE Systems Applied Intelligence (formerly Detica) in the Americas, Derek managed the NetReveal and Cyber businesses in the U.S. and Canada, focused on tackling financial crime and non-compliance across the Banking, Insurance and Healthcare markets. Prior to this role, he was responsible for NetReveal's Government business, working with Law Enforcement and Tax Authorities across the globe. Derek has also held a number of leadership roles with Logica and EzGov.


  • Gareth Cronin

    VP Engineering

    Gareth Cronin is Wynyard Group’s Vice President of Engineering responsible for growing and leading the company's engineering and development group. With a proven track record of working in rapidly growing product environments and leading teams through periods of significant expansion, Gareth brings more than 15 years of technology and leadership experience to his role at Wynyard Group. 

    Gareth joined from Orion Health where he led the Product Development Group and teams responsible for building the company products in its global development centres.


  • Nevin Grieve


    Based in London, Nevin is responsible for Wynyard's European, Middle East and African (EMEA) sales strategy. Nevin has a clear understanding of the challenges our clients face and has built a solid reputation in understanding the drivers and underlying needs for smart solutions. Before joining Wynyard, Nevin spent 18 months as Director Global Channel Sales for an AIM-listed start-up, where he developed and executed its worldwide reseller programme. Before this he held senior positions at Detica, most recently as Global Head of Government Markets Detica NetReveal where he led the sales and marketing activity of the Government markets globally.


  • Derek Greenly


    Derek Greenly is Wynyard’s Vice President Asia Pacific. Derek has a proven track record of business development, helping clients improve their organisations through the use of technology and building high performing delivery teams. A frequent presenter at conferences on crime, security and intelligence.

    Previously Derek launched and managed the Detica NetReveal businesses in Asia Pacific focused on tackling financial crime and non-compliance across the Banking, Insurance and Tax markets. Derek has also held a number of senior management roles in Hewlett Packard and Fujitsu.
